Appeal to Kaho’ohalahala’s residency dropped

One appeal challenging Maui County Council candidate Sol Kaho'ohalahala's Lanai residency has been dropped, but a second appeal filed earlier this week is still active. Lanai resident Bruce Harvey said he withdrew his appeal because he didn't want his challenge to become personal.

New cancer program unveiled

WAILUKU - A new program offering Maui cancer patients greater access to clinical trials was unveiled Wednesday at Maui Memorial Medical Center. The Cancer Research Center of Hawaii announced its new project and intentions to hire a clinical research associate to connect oncologists and Maui patients to approximately 200 experimental treatments for cancer.
